Hello,
I thought I would start off our February topic about "love". But, I thought instead of focusing on what we love about someone else, I would ask everyone what you love about yourself. We truly need to learn to like ourselves before others can really like us. It gives you self-esteem and self-worth. This is also a great way to learn some more about each other too.
I'll start off with my list:
1. I have a good sense of humor; I enjoy life.
2. I'm diligent and a hard worker
3. I'm happy with the little things in life. It doesn't take much to please me.
4. I'm faithful to my church.
5. I've been very honest even from my days of youth, leaving me no regrets about lies that I might have told.

First would be my being saved by Jesus' sacrifice. Knowing that God loves me and sent His son for me assures me that no matter what I am loved by the One who invented love.
Second would have to be my sense of humor. People are always telling me I should be a comedian.
Third would be my outlook on life. I enjoy each day as it comes and that the good with the bad.
Fourth would be my generous nature. I love helping people!
Fifth would be my common sense. If I had to choose between knowledge and common sense, I'd take the common sense but being blessed with the desire to learn, I'm gaining more knowledge every day.

Wow, Rhonda. That's a question to get a person thinking! I love your answers and Gazelle's.
What I love about myself:
1. I am saved by grace and Jesus' love and sacrifice, which is the only thing that makes me able to love myself.
2. I am honest and loyal.
3. I am an encourager and enjoy building people up.
4. I don't hold a grudge and get over rare "mad" spells quickly.
5. I love that I love being a wife and mom and, despite other ambitions and accomplishments, I know that has been my calling and I'm very satisfied and wouldn't change a thing about my life.

Thanks for sharing. I too, love the fact that I'm saved by God's grace...but I really agree with the part, "which is the only thing that makes me able to love myself". That is so true for me too! |

Hi Rhonda, this is a great thread!
1. I love the fact that I was raised in Christian home and have never strayed away from God... have stumbled but have never fallen away
2. I've been married to my high school sweety pie for 21 years. He's the only man I've ever been with
3. I feel like I've been a great mom to our 3 children who are now 21, 19, and 17
4. I have always been patient, kind, loving, and compassionate... even to those who aren't to me
5. I love to smile even in the middle of adversity

Thanks for sharing. You've got a great list. I too had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. And with that privilege comes a great responsibility to use what you've learned from your youth. Some young people choose to continue serving God, others choose not to when they grow up. I'm glad you've made the right choice. :wink: |

1. I to, accepted Jesus as my Savior at a very young age
2. I love to encourage others- whether for moral support or reaching goals- I always try to be there.
3. My honesty
