Are you part of various networks??
You should be!
I mean the forums and boards are great of course
but you should also connect with others via networks.
I'm on all of these and getting my feel for a few of them and others are awesome sources of networking with like minded people!

I've recently started social bookmarking and networking. I just made a myspace page, but am more into Facebook at the moment. I created a group on Facebook for business, but it's mostly personal. I've joined Squidoo and made some lenses and have a Ryze page as well. OH and I am on Gather as well.
