Aloha Rhonda,
My wife would probably agree with you also about things piling up.
One of my biggest pet peeves is "Bad Leadership." If I started going into pet peeves, I would have to write a book.
God Bless All,

Oh I have a few, but some I can't post here
I work in an office with 4 females/1male others - NOT putting the Toilet paper on the roll holder ! Our Sec grabs a new roll and sits it on top of the empty - NOT stocking back up the TP when you get the last roll - NOT stocking up the Paper Towels, hand soap etc when using the last
NOT washing dishes after you use them for lunch, NOT washing coffee cups, spoons from the morning, NOT wiping up spilled mess, NOT closing the bag of chips, nuts whatever - just leave it open to dry out and be no good, NOT cleaning your leftover food out of the fridge- NOT taking out the trash when your trash from lunch wont fit- just sit your trash on the floor next to the can!
NOT telling when you insert the LAST ink cartridge for the printer that 4 of us have to share and use DAILY- NOT stocking paper in the printer
The person who is ALWAYS happy, perky, optmistic, full of over doing it spunk! Who tells others to not get upset, worried, anxious, - Life is NOT always perfect, everyone cannot be happy second of everyday - there are situations in ALL of our lives that we cannot change, that we will worry about(even when it doesn't help :) ), there are our gripes/peeves - this is what it means to be Human - to experience a variety of emotions
Silly little things  I know - but they all know I am OCD and I will do them, I have tried not to but give in :) - I have complained straght to the people who are the worst at it - mostly the Sec - she just looks at me like I am nuts, then is mad for the rest of the day
But my gosh we are all adults, who have homes to take care of, this is our place of Business- we need it to represent the professionals that we are - we deal with many people in the public an I am often embarrassed when folks come into the office-
And besides I think most of the things are just down right inconsiderate- I want a sign to hang up in the lunch room that says ...... Your mother does not work here, clean up after yourself !
Oh and people like me who ramble on and on and on............

Tonja, I knew there was a reason I liked working at home!
Yep, we can train our spouses and our kids, but there's not much we can do about those coworkers. I love your idea of the sign, though. Hmm, do you think you should try it?? If you do, let us know if it helps!
Enjoy your weekend!! |

I second Rhonda and Susan. I know that's one of things I don't miss working at home.
I was the person who cleaned out the fridge, microwave, and emptied the dishwasher. Come to think of it, I still do at home.
I was always cleaning the break room. Yes, I'm a stickler for cleanliness where I eat. I would clean the table, sit down and eat and clean it before I left. I've been told I must be OCD but I think it was years of being taught that cleanliness was next to godliness. I can hear my mother telling me to clean up my mess.
I'm going to stop this message before I work on Tonya's last nerve too much. :D |

No workng on my last nerve I am GLAD to see that others understand !
I do often wonder what some of these folks homes look like, the Boss I know - she has a huge home, just built cost way over 1 1/2 million to build - and when I go there i want to scream - she is almost 50 single and hardly ever home, but it is always in dissaray !
I did sell her a bunch of Tup to organize her pantry( which is larger then my bedroom) and when I went in the pantry I almost passed out - LOL
Now if I can just get her to let ME organize it, it is appearant she can't
Well off to work ugh! at least I cleaned up before I left Friday(however there were still others there) and the Sec is off on vacation this week LOL
Great Week to ALL

Yes, Tonya, I understand very well.
I wondered the same thing about their homes because their offices were usually a wreck.
My home is very organized. Some of my friends say too organized. I'm one of those people who can tell you where something is in another room. My kids will ask if we have something, not only because I know but because I know where it is as well.
If I could organize some of their homes, I would and I have done so for several girlfriends only to find out that they couldn't or didn't keep it up so if you do organize for your boss, don't go looking to see if she kept it up. It's disheartening to see your hard work go for naught.
Now, you know when you get to work, someone will have made a mess over the weekend. Take care and God bless. |

Aloha,
Gazelle, that description sounds like my wife. She is very organized and gets overwhelmed if things are out of place. She has heard the same thing from friends, too organized.
God Bless,

Joey, I just wish I could bottle whatever makes me this organized and sell it to those friends of mine. :D
Tell your wife I said, more power to her. Take care and God bless. |

| Sat Jul 29, 2006 4:56 pm Did Jesus have a pet peeve?? |
|
|
Maybe I shouldn't speak for Him but I think even our Savior has at least one pet peeve - those who are neither hot not cold ! (Revelation)
So I'm going to add a pet peeve I have on myself.
I just hate it when I endeavor to include the Lord more in my daily decisions and then I just go it on my own.
Please pray for me on this.
Thanks so much. |

Aloha Cynthia,
So often, I'm reminded of the scripture, "Not my might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the Lord of Hosts."
I believe we are all still working on this.
God Bless,

My pet peeves are people who expect me to buy what they have by spamming me, people who don't follow through, AND having a problem and getting someone from customer service on the phone who doesn't speak good English!! How can they resolve my problem when there is a communication gap?

|

Hi all,
I'm not sure if any of you have this difficulty. But my pet peeve is the Stepmom. not mine, my son's. She's always yelling at him when I try to talk to him on the phone. don't do this don't do that. over parenting I call it. Let children be children. On her defense she works all night long then takes care of two boys all day long and only gets short naps in between that and going to work when my son's dad is home. So i guess she can be a little cranky. but ALL the time. come on give me some relief, I know your going to yell at him and I accept that, but do you have to do it when i'm on the phone with him? Just let him be!
Sorry for the vent.

Jenni,
That must be very difficult. I agree with you -- you have to give children some room to do what kids do.
We're all cranky at times, but if it's all the time -- then we need to put ourselves in check and see what needs to be done to change the situation. Too bad someone can't record her :? . Sometimes it's a real eye opener to see and hear yourself as you really are.
Hope the situation improves for your son. |
