This is probably going to be a little long and I apologize about that. Our youngest son was living with us from last June. He had finally gotten his life straightened out and is on fire for G-d. He wasn't working but to build up his businesses. Either in late 05 or January '06 someone that he knew from back in school found him on classmates.com and contacted him. This was someone from Florida and we live in Arizona now. Anyway, he saw this guy when we were all back in Florida in January. Than in May my hubby and I were on our way to Las Vegas after spending in a week in North Carolina due to a death in the family when our son called us. This guy had called him and offered him this fantastic job as his supervisor ... he has some kind of home improvement or construction company. He needed him in Florida by June 1st. Sons girlfriend asked if he wanted her to go with him and he said yes as his wife. So, on Mother's Day ... the day after we got back from Las Vegas they got married.
Than the job that was going to start on June 1st was put off until June 19th. Since son wasn't working, we rented the u-haul for them and the whole nine yards. especially with the price of gas nowadays, it cost us a nice bit of change. Him and family were supposed to be living in this guys house so that wasn't going to be a problem.
The entire move down here turned out to be a very huge mistake for them because the job never materialized and the guy keeps telling them that they need to move out by first it was last Friday and now this Friday. He claims that on Sunday when they were gone for a few hours, someone came and looked at the house (a company) and bought it and everyone needs to be out by Friday.
We are looking for a house that has already been built and is owner financied so that we can get them moved in as soon as possible. There is no way that they will be able to be out of there by Friday. Even if we signed something today, it will still take time for all services to get turned on, get them furniture, etc. What a mess!
There are times that all of us have thoughts that aren't very G-dly either because we are so upset about this entire mess. It is a good thing that hubby and I were in Florida to start with for the birth of Cali or it really would have been even more difficult. My husband does have M.S. though and stress is one of the worst things for M.S.
Please keep us in prayer about this situation and that we can find some place for everyone. Hubby and I have realized that our son can't make it on his own right now so we will probably end up buying a house that we will all move into. We are still trying to sell our house in Arizona as well. We hadn't planned on moving here until our house sold.
We also have a house being built here. We bought when we were here in January but they haven't even started on the house yet. We were able to find where yesterday on our drive and the lot has just been cleared but they haven't even started on that. So, we are going to have to cancel that as need to buy something right away.

Jo,
My heart goes out to you and your family. I'll be praying for housing situation. I am so sorry to hear what has happened. I suppose the guy that offered the job to begin with is a real phony or delights in scamming people. That is so sad.
((Hugs)) & Prayers,

I am so sorry that I haven't given you a update on the housing situation here. Thank you so much for your wonderful prayers. We started looking around for a new house that had just been built that no one has lived in yet and that the owner would carry the mortgage since we were going to have to move fast. Well, we actually found one a little bit larger than what we wanted and it is great. Has 3 bedrooms, den, family room, living room, formal dining room, kitchen with huge island, good morning room, laundry room as well as 2 car garage, 2 bathrooms and full enclosed screened in porch. We are supposed to close on August 26th but I want to wait until September as we won't have phones in there until September 20th. We didn't find that out until a few days ago. Son and family are already living in house.
We do need prayer that this house will sell quickly now and at a decent price. Since this one hasn't sold yet, we could only put 10% down on the new house and the mortgage payments are going to be very high to start with. As soon as this sells, we will refinance it and bring the payments down.

Jo,
That sounds like a wonderful house. Wow!
That is the downside to moving -- trying to sell your old house and having the responsiblility of "two houses" while you wait to sell your old one.
May God bless in all your circumstances. He can provide the right buyer. |

Thanks everyone, we are really excited about moving back home. No, we are from there originally but that is home to us. We lived there for 12 years and that is where our daughter and family, granddaughter and her family, son and his family and our church family is so that is where we consider home. My daughter is about 2 hours away and granddaughter a little over a hour so that is nothing and we will be able to see them often. We are very excited and happy about the move.

What a blessing to be able to be so close to your children and grandchildren.
I am confident that the other house will sell in good time.
It sounds like this house is large enough too!
Enjoy Gods blessings as you wait for the sell of the house.!

We are on our way home from our Send Out Cards conference in Salt Lake City. We will be home today. Hubby didn't feel well on Sunday at all so we ended up staying an extra day. That was okay because several other women did too including my upline and good friend, Diane and we toured the city while I left hubby in the hotel sleeping. Now we will go home and start packing.
