I know how you must feel Tara- I raised my 3 daughters on my own- years ago and I never received gifts for Christmas gifts either- they were to little then. It was more of a pleasure for me to watch them unwrap their gifts & see the smiles on their faces. That was my Christmas gift.

i'm not a materialistic person and would rather give my kids all they want and dont care one way or the other if I do or don't get anything

Well,
I had a great Christmas. I was able to spend a few days in Joplin, Mo with my parents.
After Christmas, my hubby and I went to Springfield, Mo for a couple of days and enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and relaxing. (We did this for our anniversary, which was actually on Dec. 18th, but we waited until my parents could keep my 3 boys for us in order to celebrate.)
We're now home, and I was soooo glad to get back into my own bed last night. Home Sweet Home!!!!
I do hope everyone had a good Christmas. Time spent with your family seems to make it special. |
