We had to bring our youngest son to the emergency room a little after 4 A.M. yesterday morning. He was in horrible pain. When we got there his blood pressure was sky high and his potassium was very low. The stomach x-ray and cat scan showed an inflamnation of the pancreas as well as 3 kidney stones and 3 gall stones. They did an endoscopy today as well as a MRI and are scheduling him for surgery to have his gall bladder removed and hoping that he passes the stones on his own.

Blessings,
Jo

I'll keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers that all goes well during the surgery. How old is your son? I've heard that potatoes are high in potasium & I have heard that it's dangerous for your body to be to low on potasium. Did dr's say what that was about? Is there a connection there with gallbladder removal? Keep us posted.

Thanks Rosalee, the surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. He is now going to see a urologist as well since he is having so much trouble urinating also. He has been one miserable little camper.

Jo,

So sorry your son is having such difficulty. Will be praying for your son. Kidney & Gall Stones are extremely painful!!! My mother had some. I do not remember which, but I know it was sooo awful for her.

Please keep us updated.
