Tell us about your home office space.

Do you have a corner set up in a room or do you have an entire room for your home office space?

Are you good at keeping your home office space organized and neat?

How do you keep all of your files and paperwork organized?

Are you a desktop or laptop computer user?

Do you have any good tips on how to keep your home office space clutter free?

I have a corner in our dining room. I like it that way because I can watch over my 3 boys and keep an eye on them. I can run around the corner and stir food on the stove...I feel that I'm still with my family even though I may be working.

I'm pretty organized, but at times I look around and see the papers starting to pile up and I have to take a break and get things back into order. I admit, I put that off too long sometimes.

How do you keep all of your files and paperwork organized?

I have a notebook with dividers in to keep my different websites and their info separated. I also have a nice desk with little slots that allow me to keep my backup discs, graphic discs, other supplies handy.

Are you a desktop or laptop computer user?

I converted to a laptop user a couple of years ago and it's such a space saver that I never want to use anything else. Plus, when I travel, it's so handy to take with me.

Do you have any good tips on how to keep your home office space clutter free?

My best tip is to have a specific day that you say, "This is the day that I clean out my email box, file my desk papers and get myself together." Before long it becomes a habit. (For instance, I use Tuesday evenings to do my paperwork for bills and filing receipts -- it's now established that this is the time that I do this...it seems automatic.) You feel so great when you complete that...and you actually accomplish so much more when you're organized.

Mine's in a corner in the living room. It's a computer armoire so everything is confined in the armoire. If it's messy, it's messy inside or on top of the armoire. There isn't much maintenance since it's a small space to begin with. For my business which is my work at home website, I don't have files or paperwork. I just have a stenopad to keep notes etc. Once I'm done for the day, I just close it up and it's just another piece of furniture in the living room. I have to keep it cluttered free because of where it's situated. It's a very good advantage to where it is. At least there's no procrastination when it comes to keeping it tidy.

:D

We have a whole room, shared between my husband and I. It is rarely organized and right now it just stacked high in papers. I've GOT to mine out again this week!
