| Tue Apr 15, 2008 8:12 pm Another Cool New Tool! |
|
|
I just set up another cool tool on one of my sites. You won't see it when you visit right away, but go here - http://www.successincentives.com - and check the page out.
Stay as long or as short a time as you want. Then close the browser/tab window. When you do that a warning message will pop up. When it does read it and do whatever you feel like doing at that point.
If you choose to click "Cancel", you'll see the new tool I'm talking about. If you decide to click "Cancel", test it out and let me know what you think. Hint: ask some questions. ;) |

I checked it out and really think it's neat. I've already come across a few sites that have this software and it kind of adds a nice personal touch even though the assistant is not a real human being.
I've noticed that they have an affiliate program and boast of a high conversion rate for their sales page. So, I'm going to test it out. Their affiliate tools include a text ad for "shopping cart abandonment" which was a perfect fit for an article that I included on my blog yesterday on mommyrevenue.com
"Top 5 reasons why customers fail to make an online purchase"

Christina, after you've tested it awhile and find out if it really works well for your site, would you mind providing me a personal testimonial? (I'll include a link in my promotion to the site where you use the software). |

Hey Rhonda,
I felt the same way, that it added a nice personal touch even though it's not a real person. Especially when you can train the agent to answer questions intelligently. When s/he gets asked a question s/he can't answer I get an email. Then I can check it out and if it's a legitimate question I can train him/her to be able to answer it. It's pretty cool.
You can put the code anywhere so I think a great place is at the shopping cart. On my site if you click on the signup link and go to leave the agent will come up. S/he is programmed the same way, but you could set up a different trained agent specific with info to thwart shopping cart abandonment. I was pretty impressed with the script.
I just got it set up today so I'll definitely let you know how it goes and the results I see from it. I expect good things. :)
Did you ask my smart agent any hard questions? Someone wrote and said that the agent that helped her got a little flustered when she asked him/her about how she felt not being a real person or something like that. It was kinda funny. |

| That's hilarious! It's a wonder that I didn't do that myself because I can get quite mischievious at times. LOL. Anyway, No, I didn't ask any questions because the lack of inspiration, I guess...but perhaps I'll give it another try. :D |

HA!!!!
I posted on my blog yesterday about just that type of tool!
My Post
Watch for my spam links!!!!
I am getting a junk email for those 'agents'.
I know many people that will not go to sites that have that type of 'tool'. Kinda' like the Exit Explosion tool was ran off sites when people lost hits or customers.
But, that is just what I think. You ask - I had to put in my 2 cents.

| It is nice and neat. But it took long time to load the page. But very good creativity. |
