| Tue Nov 28, 2006 1:58 pm So What's Everyone Working On? |
|
|
Well,
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. It was really quiet here last week while everyone was making their holiday plans.
I'm wondering what projects everyone is work on?
I have been getting a new forum ready. I almost have all the work done except for the categories listed. I hope to accomplish this project today. The template is sensitive, so I'm having a time creating the adjustments. (Here's the link for a view: http://thegiftforum.com )
Last week, I also worked on a Christmas mini ebook. And this week I'm working on submitting my new wahm-announce blog to blog directories and rss directories to draw in traffic. ( http://wahm-announce.com/wahm-blog )
So, what's everyone up to this week????? I'm curious :) |

Hello Rhonda,
I took last week off. The kids were home and we enjoyed Thanksgiving so much that I'll be exercising to Christmas to recover.
I'm working on a proofreading project that's been ongoing since October. I'm working out everyday after getting the kids off the school and since I'm all finished with my Christmas shopping, I just need to get our tree up this weekend and decorate the place. I can chill out through the end of the year after that and enjoy the holidays
Thanks for wondering and God bless. |

Gazelle,
I'm glad that you had a great Thanksgiving!
Sounds like you have quite a big project...I hope all ends well.
My husband started dragging all the Christmas stuff out on Thanksgiving day....and I finally decorated the tree on Saturday. I hated getting it all out so early, but I'm glad to have it over with now, and I can sit back and enjoy the beauty. The lights sure are pretty at night.
Well, I finished my categories for the new forum, so, I just need to finish up some extra touches...and then I'll head on to my next project.
Thanks for stopping in Gazelle. |

I am working on some new articles to beef up my sites. I have a new one coming up, but I want to get these 2 cleaned up and pretty.
I am also working on monetizing them better... we all want to earn money for our hours of work! So i have to get writing!

Hi Rhonda,
I had a great thanksgiving. I have lots to be thankful for.
As far as projects going on, I am working on goals for next year...
I am also just looking for ways to improve my services and better serve my current clients.
I would like to offer more tips through email so i am working on researching and writing new tips on getting organized and effective promotions. If there are any tips you would like to give me to share that you have found helpfull I will give you mention. just send them over.
Thanks for asking.
Joyfully, |

Is that all you have going, Rhonda? You really should think about getting busy!!
I've been working on redoing my website and writing some info packs on herbs and checking into forums, and starting a newsletter. Probably not a good idea to have tried to do all that in one week. |

Carla,
It's a gift forum. I'm trying to create another avenue of targeting those looking for gift items. Most wahms here sell items that might be perfect for those looking to purchase gift items online. Here's the link: http://thegiftforum.com
Cynthia,
I missed you! Glad to hear from you. Sounds like you're a little bit busy too. We've got some zealous women here in our forum. :D |

Cynthia,
Is this your first newsletter? or are you working on your Dec issue?

I really enjoy reading about everyone's projects. Thanks to everyone for sharing. You're all so very busy! I guess we all are, right?
I tend to spread myself rather thin, but I really enjoy all the projects that I have going on now. Number one at this time of year is ebay, and number two is trying to post on each blog at least a couple times a week. I spent a lot of time on my new recipe blog last week, getting it to look nice, and I'm really happy with it right now. I just have to keep it up. I have a few subscribers now to my ebay blog since I decided to keep it and actually told some people about it (I wasn't sure about that one for awhile), so I owe it to them to keep posting regularly. I plan on a total re-design of my retired homeschool mom blog in the near future; I really don't like how it looks right now at all and the new beta blogger will help me improve it as soon as I have a few hours in a row to devote to it. Oh, and I spend some time each week trying to keep my magazine store looking fresh.
Rhonda, I love the idea of the gift forum and it's looking really good already! I hope everyone else's projects are progressing, too. Do keep us updated. You all inspire me!

Carla,
Yes, forums can keep you busy. I almost didn't attempt the gift forum, but I know that shoppers do not necessarily come to a "wahm" forum looking to buy gifts online. Especially since most online shoppers aren't even aware of what a "wahm" is. A wahm forum is great to "network" -- share ideas, and find other business opportunites that you might be interested in, but besides creating your "downline" most wahms have wonderful products to share. So, I'm trying to create a side forum to target this aspect.
Susan,
My mom is just starting out her own part-time biz selling on ebay. I'll pass your link along to her. I know she would appreciate some tips. |

Rhonda,
Feel free to have your mom contact me or leave me a note on the blog. I love to give ebay advice!
Thanks!
