Is it the nice things you do?
Is it encouragement?
Is it sweet words?

I stick little notes in his bag when traveling, or if I've made a lunch for him to take to work. The last thing I did was bought a card and stuck it under his pillow. I need to work on doing it more often!!

How do you make your spouse know that they are loved by you...
(remember...only G-rated ideas!!)

I've created Friday as "I love you day" for our family. I try to pick up some sort of chocolate or special treat to place in their lunches on Fridays as a reminder that I love them.

Sometimes I buy a little treat that my husband likes and place it on his pillow before he comes home from work.

I also bought a heart-shaped notepad that I keep in my kitchen drawer to jot down "Love notes" to send in his lunch.

::sigh:: I'm not married, yet, but some day I'll be able to do these little things for my husband. Wink

Rhonda, I love your ideas! What a great idea to have a special day like that.

I know that when I was younger my dad used to put treats now and then on my pillow. I'd come home from school and there would be a small package of Grandma's Vanilla Cookies on my pillow. It always made me feel special because it showed that my dad thought about me during the day.

Men really need that as well. They need to know that they are loved, appreciated and needed just as we do.

Keep the love alive ladies!! Razz You are setting a wonderful example for your children...just as my parents have for me.

Ok, let me confess before everyone.

I love my wife dearly. I'm 34 and have known my wife for 20 years. I've always been faithful and commited to her. But, I have not been the best at showing that.

Women love things that men don't think of. One of the problems in marriages is, Men try to fix things from their expectations and women are looking for their expectations.

Well, I was the world's worst for buying a card. Horrible! There is absolutely no excuses for my actions, but I've been guilty. Then I came across Send Out Cards. I can sit at the computer and in 1 minute send my wife and daughter an unexpected card. As you ladies know, sending them an unexpected card achieves amazing results in strengthening our relationships. Most men would never think of this. I tell men they NEED Send Out Cards.

Now, I've never been one to forget my Anniversary or my wife's birthday, but I was horrible about the card. SOC will remind me of the those special dates and I can even pre-program to send the cards.

God Bless,
Joey

Some of the things that I do for my husband is having a weekly/monthly dateS..he loves it when we can spend some extra time together as sometimes we get so busy with our day to day lives that sometimes we forget to show our appreciation to each other. Very Happy

Well, Brad & I are not married but we've been together for 8+ years.
I am not a lovie type person so, I guess he knows I must love him because I am still here everyday when he comes home. I also have not killed him when he does stupid stuff! LOL!

We'll celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in Sept.
I have to say that its most often the little things that mean the most to us. When my husband calls me in the middle of the day, despite the fact that he's so busy and bogged down with work - just to tell see how I'm doing or ask me if I have plans later because he wants to take me out.. and in return, when I do things for him to show my appreciation of him and how hard he works for his family.

I show my hubby love through his tummy Smile

Just this morning I got up at 5 am to make him low fat carrot muffins to take to work lol (pregnancy makes you do crazy things I suppose Laughing )

He is trying to watch his waist line a bit so I find low fat recipes of his favorites like banana bread and chocolate zucchini cake and cook him different and interesting new recipes for dinner. He likes a tidy house so I do a fast clean up before he arrives home from work as well if I can.

I know he also loves it when we have movie nights together or watch NFL on Sundays and Monday nights. I love football so this is never a stretch for me haha. He is actually quite affectionate and cuddly so this is another way I speak his 'love language'. I make sure he knows that he comes first and that his hard work is appreciated and respected.

I am on modified bed rest which isn't as strict as full out bed rest (thankfully). I can be up and around the house doing light stuff as long as I take periodic rests throughout the day. Just not too much walking etc or the contractions start up again. So I am staying home for the most part Smile

Thank you for asking!!

I am trying a new recipe today from this Kraft recipe booklet I got in the mail. It is a pumpkin and cream cheese layered dessert loaf. It looked so yummy that I had to try it lol.

Yes! It is such a blessing to work from home. The first thing they asked me at the hospital when I went in was "Are you able to take early leave from work?"

To which I responded "No need, I can work on my laptop in my pajamas in bed if I need to!"

I will let you know how the recipe turns out. I am usually quite pleased with the recipes that come out of the Kraft testing kitchen - although I always add more spice than they recommend Smile

I think its the little things...

Dinner is on the table when he gets home Smile and on weekends he ususally cooks for me.

He still gets all doors for me, including the car door.

We still hold hands out in public.

I make a point to tell him verbally atleast 3 times a day that I love him and vice versa.

I always ask him about his day at work and act interested in what he has to say, even if I am not LOL

I like to tell him that he is hot, sexy etc etc etc even when he is fully clothed. I think its important to do that!

We still both use good manners (please, thank you etc)

I call him by the pet names I gave him (honey, baby, honey bee, and so forth). Simple pet names between the two of us.

We spend a lot of time together (our child is out on her own now) so I make sure I pick things to do that I know he would enjoy even if I might not enjoy them.
