I am done! Well, at least got the money. I have been doing Get Paid To and paid surveys since February with in goal of collecting $500 for christmas and have made that and am now working into $700! So i will be buying gift cards for my kids to speciality places, like starbucks or Amazon.com - places where I know they will buy something for themselves that they usually don't treat themselves to due to budget limits! So, basically, I am done! What about yoU?

Marlo,
That's great that you've already started!
I generally like to start early, but haven't yet. I will probably wait until school starts and then start watching for some great "bargains". I'm addicted to saving money. |

I usually start mine in July - end of.. And then watch the back to school sales in august for stuff and even the end of summer sales. In southern california, summer stuff can be worn all year long, so that sale is pretty good. Then I decide on the large gift and just watch the sales. I never shop the day after T-day - never saw the point of standing in lines so long! But this year it is Gift Cards. I could cash out for cash and go that way, but they liked the gift cards last year (my daughter loved the $50 starbucks card I gave her!) so since this year has been so bad for my family in so many different ways, i just don't have the christmas spirit for shopping now! |

I am usually 1/2 way finished by now BUT have been so busy that I only have a couple gifts purchased.
I do ALOT of shopping with WAHMS (about 2/3), saves me time of not going store to store, allows me to give gifts others can't find in the store, helps out others Home Biz !
Do alot of swapping of items too- this always ends up working great for myself and the others involved and is fun to see what we can come up with to trade LOL
How many of you go ahead and wrap what you buy ? Sometimes I do and othertimes I wait awhile
Ya know it really isn't but 129 days until Christmas !
This http://christmas.whipnet.net/kids/timeleft.html is a cool site for countdown of months, minutes etc - based on where you are located

Well here are a few places that I will hit for my holiday shopping:
Natural Handmade Beauty
Tupperware
Mia Bella
Discovery Toys
My Power Mall (I check there weekly to see if they have any specials)
I shop for my households needs through Watkins.
Its just easier doing my shopping online.I also buy a few items through Netgrocer.I even get my prescriptions filled online as well as pay my bills online too. |

I started Christmas shopping back in May- so I have some gifts purchased online for the grandkids. For those closer to Home, I shop online & for those who live out of state- I'm sending gift cards to this year from Home & Garden Party. So much easier, as the gift cards can be sent directly to them online. Beats shopping in the malls & saves on the high cost of gas!!

Rosalee,
If gas prices continue to increase much more, I think we'll see an even bigger increase in shopping online. That might be a good thing for all those moms who sell their products online. |

We found some great items down at the Jersey Shore last week when we were on vacation so I picked up a few christmas gifts. My SIL wanted a black genuine leather belly bag....so I found a genuine leather one with tons of organization pockets & compartments down there for $5.00 on clearance...so I grabbed two of those. We also got my daughter a silver necklace with matching earrings for christmas and her best friend Sara a set too. So we did some christmas shopping while on vacation |
